Learn how to create personalized language learning experiences for children using your own voice and custom images.

Quick Start Guide

Create Your First Language Pack

Open the app, tap “Create New Language Pack”, enter a name (e.g., “Spanish – Family Words”), choose a language, and tap “Create Pack”.

Add Content to Buttons

Tap the Edit icon (pencil) at the top, select any button in the grid, and tap “Edit Text” to add a character (e.g., “A”) and label/word (e.g., “Apple”).

Record Audio

Select a button, tap “Record”, tap the red RECORD button to start, say the word clearly, tap STOP, review with Play, and Save when satisfied.

Add Images

In the recording modal, use Camera (take a new photo), Gallery (choose from your photos), or Library (30+ built-in images across 6 categories).

Play Mode

Perfect for independent learning! In Play Mode, children simply tap any button to hear the recorded pronunciation. No reading required — just tap and listen.

Creating Custom Packs

Home Screen

  • View all your language packs
  • See progress (recordings and images count)
  • Quick access to create, edit, or delete packs

Edit Mode

  • Edit Text: Change character and label
  • Record: Add or re-record audio
  • Add Image: Choose from camera, gallery, or library
  • Clear Button: Remove all content from a button

Built-in Image Library

Browse 30+ images organized by category:

  • Animals: Cat, Dog, Elephant, Fish, Lion
  • Food: Apple, Banana, Orange, Grapes, Carrot
  • Colors: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow
  • Numbers: 1-10
  • Objects: House, Car, Ball, Book
  • Nature: Tree, Flower, Sun, Moon

Recording Tips

Children respond best to familiar voices! Record in your natural voice for the most engaging learning experience.

  • Find a quiet space to minimize background noise
  • Speak clearly and at a moderate pace
  • Keep recordings short — under 5 seconds is ideal

Choosing Images

  • Use clear, recognizable images
  • Match images to the word you’re teaching
  • Built-in library works great for common objects
  • Custom photos are perfect for family members, pets, or specific items

Organizing Language Packs

  • Create separate packs for different topics (colors, animals, family, etc.)
  • Use descriptive names so you can find them easily
  • Start small — complete one pack before creating many

Progress Tracking

Each pack shows:

  • Audio count: How many buttons have recordings (X/49)
  • Image count: How many buttons have images
  • Completion %: Overall progress based on recordings

FAQ

How many language packs can I create?

Unlimited! Create as many as you need.

Can I edit a button after saving?

Yes! Just enter edit mode, select the button, and update as needed.

What happens if I delete a language pack?

All recordings and images are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

Can I use the app offline?

Yes, completely. The app works fully offline once installed.

How long can recordings be?

Up to 30 seconds, but shorter recordings (3-5 seconds) work best for children.

Can I share language packs with others?

Yes! Use the Export feature to create shareable .langpack files.

Troubleshooting

“Microphone Access Required” Message

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone
  2. Find NidoVoix in the list
  3. Toggle it ON
  4. Return to the app

“Camera/Photos Access Required” Message

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos (or Camera)
  2. Find NidoVoix in the list
  3. Toggle it ON
  4. Return to the app

Recording Won’t Play

  • Check iPad volume is turned up
  • Make sure silent mode is off
  • Try recording again

App Running Slowly

  • Close and reopen the app
  • Delete unused language packs
  • Restart your iPad

Age Recommendations

Best for children ages 2-8, but also useful for:

  • Language learners of any age
  • Speech therapy exercises
  • Memory and recognition games
  • Preserving heritage languages with family voices
